A special machine, for setting and testing hydraulic fuses.
Background
Providing a machine for configuring/testing overpressure fuses. The fuses are used as safety valves in sliding tilt roofs for automotive manufacturers.
As a production cell, the machine is part of a production line and is suitable for automatic production.
Challenge
Dynamic adjustment of machine parameters for about 30 different models of protection devices, flow set points from 10-1,000CC and pressures from 25 to 200 bar according to different test profiles.
Solution
A vibrating bowl is used to automatically feed and orient the safeties, then a high-precision hydraulic unit and a positioning motor are used to set the safeties to flow and pressure. Correctly set safeties are coded.
