RIWO Culture: High-Tech Neighbourliness

You can only truly experience the RIWO culture once you start working here. Still, we want to give you a good idea of what it’s like. Our culture can best be described as: Twente-style neighborliness, but with a high-tech twist. 

A culture where collaboration, technology, and job satisfaction come together. We are a family-owned business based in Oldenzaal. This is reflected in how we interact with one another: down-to-earth, committed, and focused on collaboration. With a team of about 80 colleagues, we work every day to develop smart automation solutions and build long-term relationships with our customers and colleagues. 

What defines a RIWO bestseller?

We call our colleagues “RIWO stars.” That’s not just a name. You’re reliable. You keep your promises and meet your deadlines. You take the initiative and focus on solutions. You stay positive, even when things get tough.
You work well with others. You share information, communicate clearly, and help create a positive work environment. We tackle technical challenges together. And it is precisely this teamwork that contributes to job satisfaction in the workplace. 

Casual and engaged

The atmosphere is open and informal. We’re straightforward and help each other succeed. We believe it’s important to find joy not only in our work, but also outside of it. There’s plenty of opportunity to get to know each other better.
Our employee association organizes fun activities throughout the year, such as the Easter lunch, the construction industry get-together, the staff party, Sinterklaas, and the Christmas party.

We think this is perfectly normal

In addition, many initiatives come from the colleagues themselves—from sports outings to group motorcycle rides. Our motto is: if you have a good idea, we’ll just make it happen. We also celebrate small successes together—simply because that’s part of the experience.

The world of technology is constantly changing. That’s why we value adaptability: being open to learning and developing yourself through new technologies, methods, and insights. We do this together.
You learn a lot on the job, through hands-on experience and by sharing knowledge with colleagues. We also invest in training programs, professional development, and courses.
