Automatic leak testing machine

To make the machine faster and more reliable, automatic functions must be added compared to the current concept. This means that the machine's safety system must receive more attention. Despite the additional functions, the machine must be easy to operate while also testing different types of parts. To validate the specifications, various measurements should be performed. It is also important that the specifications of the individually assembled products be traceable afterwards.

Together with Tuinte, a machine concept was developed that provides various automatic functions such as a scanner, rotation table, press, leak testing system and reject station. The parts to be tested are inserted by an operator. Various sensors and a safety scanner ensure that dangerous machine functions can never be turned on automatically inadvertently. To properly assemble and test the different types of parts, the HMI provides a recipe structure. This works in conjunction with the scanner. To realize the high specifications set for leak testing, a subsystem leak tester with different gases is used. Assembled products are traceable as machine information per production step is written to a central database.
