Self-propelled feed mixer truck

Agri - System integration - Mobile control

A mobile controller for a self-propelled feed mixer.

Background

The Trioliet self-propelled mixers are distinguished from other self-propelled mixers by the unique cutting-loading system that leaves a nice tight silage wall and thus significantly reduces the risk of scalding.

The Triotrac meets the requirements for road traffic. That
makes it possible to feed at different locations.
The hydrostatic travel drive combined with the
powershift ensures many comfortable miles on the
away.

Challenge

Integrating extensive control functionality in a mobile environment with limited performance and integrating remote service and diagnostics.

Solution

The controller provides control of the diesel engine, 4-wheel steering, brakes and implements. The vehicle is equipped with a cutting arm that cuts slices of feed from a pit. The feed is moved into the mixing bowl via a feed conveyor. After mixing the components, a conveyor belt can be used to dispense. Mobile electronics were used for this application. Communication between the various vehicle components, engine, CPUs, monitor, hydraulic valves is via CAN bus. Remotely, the controller can be provided with new software versions, diagnostics can be performed and operating screens can be taken over.
