We attach great importance to the protection of your personal data as a customer, supplier, relation, job applicant or as a visitor to Riwo. We ensure that personal data is processed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. You can read more about this below. 

 

Acquisition of personal data

Most of the personal data we process is provided to us by you. For example, by becoming a customer, applying for a job with us or visiting our company. In some cases we request personal data from you, for example when you supply us with goods.

 

Personal data processed

Among other things, we process the following personal data:

  • First/surname/company name;
  • address information;
  • email address(es);
  • phone number(s);
  • bank account number;
  • company information;
  • product information
  • camera footage;
  • photos;
  • CVs.

 

Why do we process this personal data?

We process this personal data for various purposes:

  • Maintaining contact with customers, suppliers and job applicants; (by mail, telephone, email);
  • Delivering the products we develop;
  • Having well-organized operations and internal management;
  • meet legal obligations as a business, such as obligations around taxes, administration and finances.
  • Recruiting;
  • Ensuring the safety of visitors, employees, the safety of other persons and our property;
  • Promoting Riwo through the use of photos or images on our website and social media;
  • Processing services.

We process personal data only for the above purposes. Processing takes place in particular in the customer database, financial administration, Rimote and ICT systems. If we want to use your data for other or new purposes, we will inform you first.

 

Information for applicants

If you apply to us for one of the open positions, internships or through an open application, we process personal data about you. This usually includes contact details, a curriculum vitae or a letter of application. Naturally, this data is treated confidentially. Only members of the application committee and our administration have access to this data. If your application does not lead to employment, we will retain your data for another 4 weeks. If you prefer, we can retain your application for up to one year.

The application process consists of:

  • Submit cover letter and curriculum vitae;
  • 1st call;
  • Complete online personality analysis;
  • 2nd call;
  • Employment or non-employment.

Personality analysis is used by us to achieve a balanced workforce. The result is not conclusive and will be discussed with you during the2nd interview.

We will only process the personal data mentioned above if permitted by the AVG. You can read more about this below.

Execution of agreement

In a large proportion of cases, we process personal data to fulfill the contract with customers or suppliers. This also includes the data of job applicants.

 

Meeting legal duty

In a large number of cases, we process personal data in order to comply with legal obligations that Riwo has. Think of tax regulations, administrative and financial obligations.

 

Balance of interests

In addition, in some cases the processing of your personal data is necessary for the protection of our legitimate interests or those of a third party. Think of promotional processing or cookies on our website. In doing so, we weigh your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms against the interests of Riwo.

 

Permission

If we process personal data on the basis of consent granted by you, you can withdraw it at any time. An example of this is posting your (company) name and photo on social media. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the withdrawal of your consent.

 

If you do not want to provide personal data

We will inform you of situations in which you are required to provide personal data. This is the case when we need to process certain personal data. Think of a legal obligation such as sharing data with government agencies or personal data needed to conclude a contract with you.

 

Retention period

We use different retention periods for personal data. These periods vary from four weeks to several years, for example due to tax obligations. The basic principle is that personal data are not kept longer than necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed.

 

Recipients of personal data

We exchange personal data with others in exceptional cases. These include, for example, the tax authorities, the accountant, educational institutions and subsidizing bodies in the context of innovation.

 

Processors

We enter into a processor agreement with processors to ensure the protection of your data. This includes software applications, hosting, storage and destruction of data.

 

Data security

We take the protection of your data seriously. Appropriate measures have been taken to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. These include secure connections, encrypted communications, access authorizations, physical (access) security and measures for the destruction of data.

 

Website and cookies

Our website wriwo.eu uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer when you visit our website. We use functional cookies and analytical cookies that do not collect personal data. Therefore, no consent is required. If tracking cookies are used in the future, you will be given the choice of which tracking cookies you want to accept during your first visit to our website.

 

Your rights

Under the AVG, you have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to inspect and copy;
  • The right of correction;
  • Right to erasure of data;
  • The right to restrict processing;
  • The right to object to processing;
  • The right to data portability;
  • The right not to be subject to automated decision-making.

If you wish to exercise these rights, or require further information, please contact us at info@riwo.eu submit a request. Please note that the above rights do not always apply. We do not have to comply with your request to exercise any of these rights in all cases.

Within one month after we receive the request, we will inform you. In doing so, we will indicate whether and how your request will be met and, if it cannot be met, why not.

If we need more time to process the request, you will be notified within one month and you will also hear when the request does receive a response. There is no charge for submitting a request.

 

Submitting complaint to supervisor

It may be that, despite our careful approach, you have a complaint about how we process your personal data and/or handle your rights. You can then file a complaint with the supervisor. In the Netherlands, the Personal Data Authority is the supervisor in the field of processing personal data.
