The latest and the greatest
As a team, we ensure that our platforms are (re)developed and maintained. We deal with cloud, on premise and web applications, including for industrial bakeries, biogas plants and nurseries. But we also develop robotic controls and perception for feeding robots, an apple picking robot or sorting non ferrous metals with equal pleasure.
The applications in our platforms provide (remote) control and monitoring of processes, machines, AGVs and robots. We don't just do this in Oldenzaal, we regularly dot the i's and cross the t's at customer locations. Because that is where it really happens, only then can you see the real added value of our solutions!
Our team
Our department has ten Application Developers and six Robotics Engineers. Together we are responsible for developing and maintaining our platforms and customizations. You are involved in the preliminary process and make choices. We review each other's code and help each other where necessary. In order to manage the great diversity, we scrummage in our own way.
Our stack
We mainly use C#, but do not exclude the use of other languages like Go there too as a backend programming language, Typescript for the front-end. We build our front-end for local applications in WPF. We are excited about ROS2 and C++ for robotics. Our applications run on embedded devices, Windows clients and in the cloud environment. Cross platform this is quite possible with .NET Core. We build our web-based environments in React. For automating our deployment and configuration we use Powershell, Yaml, Terraform and Consul. For Cloud services, we use Microsoft Azure including Docker, Kubernetes, Application Insights and Entra ID. We also work more and more virtualized, for example based on Docker containers. We use Git as our version control software. Git allows us to collaborate efficiently on code, manage different versions and easily return to earlier stages of software.

Our Projects
At RIWO we are working on many different projects. Among other things, we have been working on Smartbakery where we have developed an automatic control system where batchwise all the raw materials needed for a bread dough are calculated, weighed and dosed. At other times you are busy with the further development of our RIMOTE Integration platform or working on feed management software. In short, no shortage of variety!
